Chicken Orange with Basil

Easy to make and it has a fresh taste.

Prep time: 20 min - Cook time: 15 min Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • 2 Large orange / 2 Tbsp orange marmelde

  • Fresh basil leaves / 1/2 teasoon dry basil

  • 3 Tbsp olive oil

  • 1/2 Tbsp salt

  • Black pepper crushed

  • 2 cm Minced ginger

  • 1/4 Cup minced bombay onion

  • 2 Clove minced garlic

  • 4 (1 kg) chicken breasts fillet

  • 1/2 Teaspoon honey

  • Orange slices for garnish

  • 1 Tbsp Kikoman soy sauce

  • 100ml broth or just water

Preparation

  1. Grate orange peel and squeeze orange into juice. Set aside.

  2. Cut chicken into small size of +/- 2 cm

  3. Preheat large grill pan with olive oil and start saute with the garlic then mix the onion and ginger together until fragrant.

  4. Add chicken and pour the broth/water, cook 3 minutes. Turn chicken over and cook 3 to 4 minutes longer or until no longer pink in center.

  5. While chicken is cooking, combine sugar, salt, freshly ground black pepper, and orange peels, orange juices/marmelade, kikoman and basil.

  6. Mix well and turn off the stove.

  7. Garnish with orange slices and fresh basil leaves.

Serve with steamed rice or mashed potato.
